Lavrov Says West Cannot Defeat Russia
He expressed these thoughts during a discussion with his Kyrgyz opposite number, Jeenbek Kulubaev, on Sunday while on an official trip to Kyrgyzstan.
Lavrov emphasized that both NATO and the EU are manipulating the ongoing conflict in Ukraine as a geopolitical instrument directed against Moscow.
“We are witnessing an unprecedented confrontation between our country and the collective West, which has decided to once again go to war against us and inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, essentially using the Nazi regime in Kiev as a battering ram,” he stated.
“The West has never succeeded in this, and it will not succeed this time either.”
The Russian official remarked that a growing number of Western decision-makers “are beginning to guess” that their aggressive stance toward Moscow is ineffective, though he did not provide specific details.
His comments align with prior warnings from Moscow regarding Western backing of the Kiev administration and the continued military escalation promoted by NATO and the EU.
