Iran announces delay of reopening airspace
A spokesperson from the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, Majid Akhavan, stated that although the eastern section of Iranian airspace has reopened to both domestic and international flights, restrictions in other regions will remain in place until 14:00 local time (10:30 GMT) on Friday.
The phased reopening comes as part of efforts to gradually restore air traffic to levels seen before the recent conflict, according to officials.
Iran initially shut down its airspace on June 13 following a series of Israeli airstrikes on Tehran and other areas. After 12 days of hostilities, a ceasefire agreement between the two countries was reached earlier this week.
