Israel strikes Lebanon murdering two Hezbollah members
In one of the incidents, an Israeli drone reportedly struck a motorcycle near the western entrance of Bayt Lif, a village in southern Lebanon, resulting in the death of one individual.
In a second attack, another Israeli drone targeted a bulldozer operating between the villages of Shaqra and Baraachit. This strike also led to one fatality, as confirmed by Lebanon’s Public Health Emergency Operations Center.
A Lebanese security source confirmed that both individuals killed in the strikes were members of Hezbollah.
These attacks occurred despite the ongoing ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, which was established on November 27, 2024. The truce brought an end to more than a year of cross-border clashes ignited by the conflict in Gaza.
Nevertheless, the Israeli military has continued to conduct periodic strikes inside Lebanese territory, stating that such actions are necessary to neutralize potential threats posed by Hezbollah.
