Media reports Iran firing missiles at US bases in Middle East
Unconfirmed videos circulating online show several missiles flying over Qatar, triggering anti-air defenses and the launch of interceptor missiles. The primary target was Al Udeid Air Base near Doha, a major military hub used by Qatar, the US, and the UK. It remains unclear if all missiles hit their intended targets.
Qatari officials stated that their military successfully intercepted all incoming missiles, with no casualties or damage reported. Doha condemned the strikes as a severe breach of its sovereignty and warned it reserves the right to respond.
However, Iranian outlets claimed that at least three, and possibly up to six, missiles penetrated defenses and struck the base. Iranian media shared footage that appears to show missile launches from mobile platforms at undisclosed locations.
