Chinese Premier gathers with Japanese delegations to discuss business

(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Chinese Premier Li Qiang held discussions in Beijing with a visiting group led by Yohei Kono, who serves as president of the Japanese Association for the Promotion of International Trade (JAPIT).

Li emphasized that China is willing to collaborate constructively with various sectors in Japan to advance the shared understanding that the two nations are partners rather than competitors. He stressed the importance of working together to yield tangible outcomes, deepen political trust, and foster lasting people-to-people connections.

He expressed his hope that Japan would collaborate with China in handling differences constructively, stay committed to steering the relationship in the right direction, and promote its stable and sound progress.

According to Li, China and Japan share several distinct advantages that can help them strengthen their cooperation. He noted that both countries should leverage these strengths to generate mutual benefits and create win-win results. Furthermore, he highlighted that such collaboration could energize each other's growth and make a broader contribution to the global economy.

Li reaffirmed China’s commitment to opening its economy further at a high level, welcoming more foreign-funded companies, including those from Japan, to invest and operate in the country. He expressed hope that JAPIT would continue to play a key role in boosting economic and trade partnerships, as well as fostering goodwill and trust between the two nations.
