Gaza Bleeds: Israeli Forces Kill Five More Palestinians, Including Child
(MENAFN) Five additional Palestinians were fatally shot by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip, marking the latest casualties in Israel’s relentless military campaign against the blockaded territory, medical officials reported Tuesday.
According to a medical source, a child was among those killed, with several others injured during Israeli shelling in the Al-Karama neighborhood of northwestern Gaza City.
The same source confirmed that four others, including a young girl, succumbed to wounds from previous Israeli attacks in Gaza City and the southern town of Khan Younis.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli troops fired toward eastern Gaza City and the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, though details on any resulting injuries remain unclear.
Despite mounting international demands for a ceasefire, the Israeli military has maintained its harsh offensive in Gaza since October 2023, causing nearly 54,000 Palestinian deaths—predominantly women and children.
In a significant legal escalation last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, accusing them of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
Additionally, Israel is confronting a genocide lawsuit at the International Court of Justice over alleged war crimes targeting vulnerable civilians in the enclave.
