India denies Pakistani allegations of fatal explosions

(MENAFN) India has dismissed Pakistan's claims that it was involved in a suicide bombing in Balochistan, which resulted in the deaths of five people, including three children. The Indian government called the allegations "baseless," accusing Pakistan of using such claims to deflect attention from its own reputation as a hub of terrorism.

India’s Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, condemned the allegations, stating that it had become common for Pakistan to blame India for its internal problems. “India rejects the baseless allegations made by Pakistan regarding Indian involvement with the incident in Khuzdar earlier today,” Jaiswal said. He also expressed condolences for the lives lost but criticized Pakistan for diverting attention from its own issues by blaming India.

The blast occurred on Wednesday morning in Khuzdar, Balochistan, targeting a bus carrying students. In addition to the five fatalities, several others were injured. The Pakistan military's media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), suggested that India was behind the attack, using proxy groups to instigate terrorism in Pakistan. The ISPR also claimed that these proxies were a tool of the Indian state, targeting innocent civilians, including children.

This incident is the latest in a series of tensions between India and Pakistan. The two nations have been at odds over various issues, including Pakistan's support for insurgencies in Indian-administered Kashmir and accusations from India that Pakistan harbors terrorist groups. In May, the two countries engaged in significant hostilities after India launched strikes on suspected terrorist facilities in Pakistan-controlled areas in response to a terror attack in Kashmir. This was followed by a ceasefire agreement after several days of fighting.

Balochistan, a province that has long been a hotspot for violence and insurgency, remains a point of contention between the two countries. Pakistan has accused India of supporting separatist movements in the region, including the Baloch Liberation Army, which recently carried out a high-profile attack by hijacking a passenger train. Pakistan also blamed India for fueling terrorism, but India has consistently rejected these accusations.
