Hansi Flick Extends Contract with Barcelona
(MENAFN) Barcelona and head coach Hansi Flick came to an agreement on Thursday to extend his contract until June 30, 2027.
"The German coach has signed a new contract on Wednesday at the Club offices in the presence of FC Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, first vice president Rafa Yuste and the Club's sporting director, Anderson Luis de Souza “Deco”, amongst others," Barcelona stated in an official announcement.
Flick has been in charge for 54 matches, securing 43 victories, which translates to an impressive win rate of 73 percent.
This is the best performance for a first season since Luis Enrique achieved 83 percent.
The 60-year-old German manager guided a youthful squad to a historic domestic treble, securing La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.
