Humanitarian assistance reaches Gaza but no distribution
93 lorries went inside Gaza on Tuesday, transporting humanitarian assistance like flour, food for babies, medical supplies, and medications, Israeli officials stated.
However, the UN stated that no humanitarian assistance has been handed out up until now, despite lorries going into the Palestinian side of the Kerem Shalom crossing.
Its representative Stephane Dujarric stated that a group "waited several hours" for Israel to let them to enter the zone. However, "unfortunately, they were not able to bring those supplies into our warehouse".
On Sunday, Israel approved to let in "basic amount of food" to Gaza, where international specialists have warned of an upcoming starvation.
The UK stated that it would be withholding trade discussions due to Israel's "morally unjustifiable" military intensification in Gaza, as it was described, with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer characterizing the condition as "intolerable".
