Trump claims Biden’s advisors committed treason
(MENAFN) President Donald Trump has accused senior advisors to Joe Biden of committing “treason at the highest level,” claiming they exploited Biden’s cognitive decline to push policies the president would not have personally approved—particularly the administration’s immigration stance.
In a Truth Social post on Tuesday, Trump asserted that Biden never historically supported open borders and that the dramatic increase in illegal immigration is the result of actions taken by aides who effectively hijacked the presidency by misusing the autopen—a device that replicates a person’s signature.
Trump claimed that Biden, as known by the public, “would never allow drug dealers, gang members, and the mentally unstable to enter our country unchecked.” He added that these policies have cost the U.S. “hundreds of billions of dollars” and insisted that Biden’s staff “stole” executive power by exploiting his alleged impairment. “This is TREASON at the highest level,” Trump wrote, calling for serious consequences for those responsible.
These accusations follow renewed scrutiny of Biden’s health after it was revealed that he has been diagnosed with an aggressive, metastatic prostate cancer. While Trump publicly wished Biden well, he also questioned how such an advanced illness could go undetected for so long, hinting at a lack of transparency from White House physicians.
Trump further implied that the autopen could have been used to sign off on decisions without Biden’s awareness. “There are things going on that the public wasn’t informed of,” he said, urging an investigation into the president’s medical team.
The use of the autopen—long considered legal when properly authorized—has been a recurring theme in Trump’s criticism. He previously argued that some of Biden’s final pardons were illegitimate because they may have been signed without his direct consent.
In response to these claims, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer has launched an investigation into whether top aides deliberately concealed Biden’s health status and improperly used executive tools like the autopen to govern in his place.
