Paris-Orly Airport Cancels Flights After System Breakdown
This disruption followed a more substantial incident on Sunday when a "radar failure" resulted in the grounding of around 130 flights, equivalent to 40 percent of the airport's air traffic. A French news agency reported that this earlier failure affected thousands of passengers.
According to the DGAC, "The situation is improving, but still requires air traffic to be regulated," as efforts to fix the system are ongoing.
Located 10 kilometers south of the French capital, Paris-Orly airport is a major travel hub, having handled over 33 million passengers in 2024, according to official figures.
