European Political Community Concludes Tirana Summit
During a joint press briefing with Danish Premier Mette Frederiksen — who is set to host the following summit — Albania's head of government, Edi Rama, revealed the decision to form a Political Community Coordination Team under the leadership of the European Council's Presidency.
He emphasized that it is now the responsibility of member nations to transform the potential of this alliance, which encompasses 600 million citizens, into concrete and beneficial outcomes.
Frederiksen remarked that security concerns would dominate the agenda at the upcoming summit.
Highlighting that Russia is a menace not only to Ukraine but the entirety of Europe, she stated: "Hence, rearmament of Europe is our number one priority. Others cannot help us if we are not ready to defend each other."
She further underscored the need to enhance the competitiveness of European firms and to cease energy dependency on Russia.
