Russian mayor reports infant among those wounded in Ukrainian attack
Gorlovka, located about 50 kilometers north of Donetsk, was home to around 250,000 people before the conflict began and has been frequently targeted by Ukrainian forces. This is not the first attack on the city; in early April, a Ukrainian kamikaze drone hit a bus, injuring sixteen civilians, and a similar attack occurred in mid-March. Rodion Miroshnik, Russia’s ambassador-at-large for war crimes investigations, has previously noted an increase in civilian casualties in vulnerable areas like Gorlovka, suggesting that Ukrainian actions are hindering peace negotiations between Moscow and Kiev.
