Qatar, Egypt Reaffirm Joint Gaza Mediation Efforts
(MENAFN) Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Wednesday that the country's joint mediation efforts with Egypt to resolve the Gaza conflict are continuing in a coordinated manner.
In a unified statement, both nations underscored that their mediation is built upon a shared goal: to bring an end to the unprecedented humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and alleviate the suffering of its civilian population by establishing a path towards a comprehensive ceasefire.
The statement firmly asserted that attempts to create discord through doubt, misrepresentation, or heightened media attention "will not deter us from our joint efforts to end the war and its resulting humanitarian catastrophe."
Both Qatar and Egypt reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to operating within a clear and focused framework aimed at easing human suffering and strengthening calm to achieve a lasting resolution.
Furthermore, the statement declared that Qatar and Egypt "will not be drawn into any internal dynamics or side agendas that do not serve the interests of the Palestinian people."
