Series of Carjackings, Crashes in Australia Claim One Life
On Monday, Queensland Police revealed that emergency services responded to a multi-vehicle collision involving a red Porsche on a highway approximately 80 km north of Brisbane, shortly after noon.
The woman was confirmed dead at the scene, and authorities stated that the male driver of the Porsche exited the car, shot another man in the arm, and then stole his vehicle before fleeing the area. Initial investigations point to this sequence of events.
The stolen vehicle was later found abandoned after being involved in a crash. The suspect is said to have then stolen yet another vehicle before being apprehended. Police also recovered a firearm from inside the stolen vehicle.
Three crime scenes have been established, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
