FBI Reports Teen Accused of Plotting to Kill Trump
According to the document, 17-year-old Nikita Casap had intentions beyond the alleged double homicide — he reportedly devised a scheme to assassinate United States Leader Donald Trump, stage an escape to another country, and falsely blame Russia for the acts.
Casap was officially charged with first-degree murder the previous month following the discovery of his mother and stepfather, both fatally shot in the head, in their residence located in Waukesha.
He was later apprehended in Kansas after fleeing in a stolen car.
Authorities noted that he had USD14,000 in cash, valid passports, and the family’s dog in the vehicle. Additionally, officers found an unloaded handgun, several boxes of bullets, and two mobile phones during the roadside arrest.
The recently unsealed warrant revealed that “Casap appears to have written a manifesto calling for the assassination of the President of the United States.”
Furthermore, it indicated that he had “been in touch with other parties about his plan to kill the President and overthrow the government of the United States.”
The affidavit also proposed a motive behind the killings, stating, “The killing of his parents appeared to be an effort to obtain the financial means and autonomy necessary to carry out his plan.”
